View your iMessage export like the real app

Drop your iMessage export here or click to choose a file — .txt, .csv or .zip, any size

Apple has no built-in export, so drop the .txt or .csv produced by imessage-exporter or iMazing — read every message and attachment in a familiar bubble view, search it, then export a PDF.

Nothing is uploaded. Your chat is parsed entirely in your browser — it never touches a server.

A preview of the reading view. Open your own export and it fills with your conversation, in this app’s own colours.

Three steps, under a minute

  1. 1

    Export with a third-party tool

Mac: install imessage-exporter (free, open source) with brew install imessage-exporter, then run imessage-exporter -f txt -o ~/imessage-export — Terminal needs Full Disk Access. Windows/Mac: iMazing (paid) — connect your iPhone, open Messages, select a conversation, Export → CSV or Text.

  2. 2

    Open the file here

Drop the .txt or .csv file, or the whole export folder zipped with its attachments. Nothing leaves your device.

  3. 3

    Read, search, export

Browse the conversation, search every word, check the statistics, then export a PDF — free, unlimited, or court-ready with integrity hashes.

What you get

No jailbreak, no iCloud login here

Works with the plain text or CSV files that imessage-exporter or iMazing produce on your own machine — this page never touches your Apple account.

Attachments inline

Photos and other attachments saved alongside your export appear right inside the conversation, in the order they were sent.

Search that finds everything

Full-text search with highlighting, plus filtering by sender — useful for group iMessage threads with several participants.

Unlimited PDF

The $9 one-time Unlimited PDF exports every message with embedded photos and no watermark, however long the thread.

Court-ready PDF

The $19 Court-ready PDF adds a cover page, sequential message numbers, Bates stamps, a SHA-256 hash of your export file and of the PDF, a verification page, and a prefilled certificate template for your jurisdiction.

Private by architecture

No account, no upload, no tracking of your messages. Once loaded, the page keeps working even offline.

What's inside an iMessage export

Apple's Messages app has no export feature, so every iMessage export you'll find comes from a third-party tool reading the local chat.db database:

One quirk both tools share: your own messages are labeled "Me" rather than your name or number, because Apple's local database doesn't store your own contact identity in the conversation — only the other participant's. That's expected, not a parsing error, and the viewer keeps it as "Me" rather than guessing a name.

Screenshots are not an export — they can't be searched, filtered or verified, and they're the first thing a skeptical reader questions.

When you need the court-ready version

Text message threads show up constantly in family, employment and harassment cases, and a plain screenshot is easy to dismiss as selectively cropped. The Court-ready PDF instead produces the whole conversation with sequential numbering, Bates stamps, and a SHA-256 hash of both your original export file and the finished PDF, so the document's integrity can be checked later by anyone, including opposing counsel.

What it can't do is guarantee a court will accept it — that depends on your local rules of evidence and how the rest of your case is built, and this is not legal advice. The included certificate template (a 28 U.S.C. §1746 declaration for the US, a witness statement for the UK, Section 65B for India, and similar for Australia, Canada and elsewhere) still needs to be reviewed and signed by whoever actually ran the export.

Questions people ask

Is it private?

Yes. Your iMessage export is parsed entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it keeps working; close the tab and the file is gone.

How do I export iMessages without a jailbreak?

On a Mac, install the free imessage-exporter tool and run it from Terminal (it needs Full Disk Access). On Windows or Mac, iMazing (paid) can connect to your iPhone and export a conversation as CSV or text. Neither requires a jailbreak.

Why does my export show "Me" instead of my name?

Apple's local Messages database only stores the other participant's identity, not yours, so every export tool labels your own messages "Me". This is normal and the viewer keeps that label rather than guessing.

Can I open a CSV export from iMazing?

Yes, both the .txt output from imessage-exporter and the CSV or text output from iMazing are supported.

Does this work for group iMessage threads?

Yes, group threads work the same way, with per-sender filtering so you can isolate one participant's messages.

Can I export iMessages to PDF?

Yes — open your export here, click Export PDF, and choose a tier. See the iMessage to PDF page for the full comparison of Free, Unlimited and Court-ready.
